Gerombong is a very accessible dive site next to a temple that gives the spot its name. The main entry is on the right side of a pebble beach with a steep slope. At 5m depth a sandy slope appears with reef and wall on the left; to the right, between 18 and 22m, extends a muck zone where any creature can appear, including nudibranch cannibalism. As in Batu Niti, it doesn't pay to go deep, but spending an hour at 20m photographing the tiniest nudibranchs burns your no-decompression time fast; Nitrox is highly recommended for passionate underwater photographers. Every dive is a surprise, and the wall and reef at the entrance host golden spadefish, giant cuttlefish and sea anemones. The site also hides a small cave about 15 meters long and 3 meters high, with an entrance of approximately 15 meters, offering a spectacular perspective toward the outside light.
