Ideal for beginners and macro photography enthusiasts, Melasti ranks among the most representative muck diving sites in Tulamben. Its extensive sand slopes descend gently with barely any coral. An expert guide is needed to locate the most characteristic species: Costasiella and Stiliger nudibranchs. Around 14-18m appears a meadow of green algae, the favorite food of the sheep nudibranch. Besides the year-round costasiella and stiliger, Melasti holds surprises with sought-after critters: doto nudibranchs, Pikachu nudibranchs and baby frogfish.
